Clayoquot Sound
Clayoquot Sound is the network of fjord-like inlets, temperate rainforest, and islands on the western coast of Vancouver Island, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2000. It covers ~270,000 hectares of old-growth Sitka spruce and western red cedar, much of it accessible only by floatplane or boat.
